C7 Managing 17 Facilitated Processes: What Works Before and During
Level: All Levels

Great facilitated processes require thoughtful and meticulous management. In this lively, practical session you will:

• Learn about 17 different types of facilitated processes, their key features, related deliverables and management requirements.
• Understand and apply a framework and three critical success factors for managing facilitated processes.
• Discover five types of agreements that support and sustain diverse relationships, from initial contact to final contract.
• Learn and apply an efficient “forget-me-not” prompter for managing one of your upcoming facilitated processes. Identify essential pre-, in-, and post-session functions related to your case.

This workshop is a book launch. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of Managing Facilitated Processes: What Works by Strachan and Pitters (Jossey-Bass, 2009).

Presenter:

Marian Pitters is the president of Pitters Associates, a Canadian management consulting firm. For the past twenty-five years Pitters Associates has been facilitating strategic change management initiatives for executives interested in developing organizations that innovate and prosper. Marian holds a doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Toronto. Her latest co-authored book (with Dorothy Strachan) is “Managing Facilitated Processes: What Works - A Guide for Facilitators, Managers, Consultants, Event Planners, Trainers and Educators”.
