E1 The Learning Construction Site: Strategies to Facilitate Workplace Adult Learning
Level: Beginning
This workshop will provide a framework for new facilitators to design and deliver effective training that yields measurable adult learning in the workplace in a facilitative way using collaboration, conviviality, and dialogue. Learning Construction Site focuses on: Co-designing creative learning activities with learners rather than dictating the curriculum; Facilitating and sustaining learning dialogues rather than lecturing; Hosting learning spaces for learning communities rather than simply presenting a PowerPoint slideshow; Collecting different types of proof of learning, beyond simplistic testing. The Learning Construction Site makes the work of sharing knowledge and facilitating learning experiences for adults effective, rewarding, pleasurable, and supremely energizing.
