F7 Reflective Facilitation through a Global Lens
Level: All Levels
This workshop is for facilitators working with individuals of different language and cultural backgrounds and whose positions demand that they conduct meetings, presentations, and training for diverse groups. While this session focuses primarily on cross-cultural pragmatics and communication, facilitators seeking strategies to ensure full participation in their workshops and meetings will benefit from this seminar. Rather than emphasizing factors that alienate one culture group from another, this session offers strategies to help groups come together for decision making and task completion. From case studies and situational activities, attendees will generate solutions to communication breakdowns caused by cross-cultural mismatches.
