H1 The Invisible Participant: Identifying the Impacts of Institutional Power and Developing a Practice of Inclusion
Level: All Levels

Institutional oppression is the invisible participant in the room—from influencing whom we chose to work with as clients to our ability to remain neutral, from determining the kinds of groups we find challenging to our ability to be consistently inclusive in our facilitation practice. In this 3-hour interactive workshop we will learn a framework for understanding the dynamic of institutional and internalized oppression, its impact on us and groups, as well as tools to heal from and effectively interrupt these impacts. We will begin to identify how to be more capable allies to all participants increasing our cultural competency as facilitators.
