H11 The Neuroscience of Diversity: Facilitating the Power of Difference
Level: All Levels

The exploding field of neuroscience offers fascinating insights into diversity. Are humans naturally prejudiced? Does social identity impact brain performance? Diverse groups have the potential for extraordinary innovation and flexibility. They also face greater potential conflict and stress. The human brain loves novelty and stimulation, but we are biologically programmed to distrust unfamiliar people and situations. In this highly interactive and aha- filled session, explore the brain science realities of diversity and how to leverage human design in facilitating diverse groups. Learn about the biology of safety, inclusion, status, social identity, the formation of personal assessments and much more!
