H6 Enhance Your Meetings Using Conversational Leadership: Getting Those 60 Minutes of Your Life Back
Level: All Levels

Leaders devote 25-80% of their work time to meetings, yet how many of those meetings actually move the organization toward mission and vision accomplishment? Usually very few! Conversational Leadership capitalizes on the natural tendency of adults to learn through conversation. Anyone leading a meeting can use “Conversational Leadership” to unify and focus participants during the meetings and to ensure aligned actions afterwards. Designing and stewarding meetings that truly matter can be a key to system success. By using the conversational leadership methodologies the meeting designer and facilitator becomes a steward of learning conversations rather than a controller of people’s precious time.

Presenter:

Dr. Ray Jorgensen has spent the past 30 years studying organizations and organizational change theories and parlayed this knowledge into the concept of Conversational Leadership, an insightful, theory-based method of conducting more effective meetings which taps into the collective wisdom of a group and leads to higher quality relationships for higher quality results. Ray consults, facilitates and conducts workshops for organizations on Conversational Leadership, with a proven track record of affecting organizational change. He has worked with public and private school systems, city and county governments, banks, the military, and a variety of private businesses as a keynote speaker, facilitator, and seminar-workshop leader.
